As a wildlife author and environmental educator I visit many habitats from coastline to countryside. However, I often find the best opportunities for wildlife watching are on our own doorstep such as in our gardens and parks.

Our own gardens and surrounding habitats are a great way for people to engage with wildlife on a regular basis and to also understand the interconnections between animals, plants and habitat.

Sussex Urban Wildlife Weblog

In 2009 I started a weblog to record my casual observation to help keep a record to share with others and to encourage readers to take a closer look at their own local patch.

Click the photo opposite to link to the weblog and if you have not done so already, take a closer look at your own local patch, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.
