ONE WORLD ONE OCEAN The Adventures of Ed the Bear
Meet some of the amazing wildlife Ed has encountered on his travels.
At home or abroad, Ed the Bear has encountered some amazing wildlife.
Ed the Bear has seen many sea mammals in his travels such as humpback whales off the Channel Islands (USA), the Hawaiian Islands and South Africa. He has also encountered seals around the world including Antartica. Dolphins and seals occasionally swim past Ed's beach at Shoreham too.
Ed the Bear has encountered penguins in Antartica and on the beaches of South Africa. Ed even met a penguin called Zuki who had been rescued from an oil spill and could not be released back to the ocean.
Ed the Bear has also come face to face with great white sharks and learned the truth about these awesome but endangered sharks. Did you know you are more likely to be killed by a coconut falling on you from a palm tree than you are likely to be killed by a shark. Sadly 1 million sharks are killed by humans each year.
But Ed the Bear was also seen many small animals and discovered that even the animals that can be seen in rock pools in the UK can be colourful and just as fascinating as those he has witnessed on his travels.
