Ocean, Climate and Weather

The ocean absorbs the heat from the sun and transports it across the planet. This heat escapes into the atmosphere creating modrating our cklimate and in turn our weather. The ocean made life on earth as we know it possible and continues to make it habitable today.

Temperature is a key factor of weather. For example wind is created the sun heats the ocean and the heat is released slowly. Heat from the ocean warms the air and warm air rises.

When the warm air rises above the ocean, cold air rushes in to replace the warm air – that movement makes wind.
